Connect with Michelle
I was fortunate to be part of Project LIFT during the pilot of the Opportunity Culture initiative, and I was able to witness firsthand the transformative power of this framework. I joined Public Impact because I believe this is the perfect time to empower school leaders to rethink education and provide innovative options for career advancement. I am proud to be on a team of changemakers whose mission is to truly open doors for all students by simply giving them the opportunity to be in the presence of great teachers every day.”
Michelle White
Consultant
Michelle White is a consultant at Public Impact®, focusing primarily on assisting schools and districts with Opportunity Culture® design and implementation to extend the reach of excellent teachers and their teams. Before joining the team, White served in the Multi-Classroom Leader™ (MCL™) role, and before that as a teacher, facilitator, and leadership coach. As an MCL™ educator, she led teams of teachers to improve instructional practices using data-driven protocols and coaching/feedback cycles, which resulted in her teams’ students exceeding expected learning growth in math. As a facilitator, she was instrumental in the development of an innovative dropout prevention program that provided intensive academic and social-emotional support for high school students, which resulted in an increase in the overall cohort graduation and college acceptance rates. As a leadership coach, she supported Teach For America corps members through targeted coaching and personalized workshops. Using the skills gained from these roles, White developed a beginning teacher and mentor development program that led to her school being named a “master school of distinction” by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. White holds an M.Ed. in curriculum, instruction, and assessment from Walden University in Minnesota, and a B.S. in mathematics with a focus on secondary education from Grand Valley State University in Michigan. In addition, she holds a certificate in executive leadership from Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina.
