Jessica Struhs

Consulting Manager

Jessica Struhs is a consulting manager with Public Impact®, focusing primarily on assisting schools and districts with Opportunity Culture® design and implementation to extend the reach of excellent teachers and their teams. Struhs leads a team of consultants that works with district leaders to design Opportunity Culture® models that create a career pathway and team roles for teachers, implement a rigorous and research-based selection process, and monitor progress throughout implementation. In addition, Struhs has deep and varied experience creating and facilitating professional development sessions for school and district leaders. Before joining the team, Struhs was a Fulbright Scholar, teaching English in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and a science teacher, first through Teach For America in Memphis, Tennessee, where she received the highest evaluation possible on the Teacher Effectiveness Measure for both years, and at DC Prep Charter School. She went on to become a middle school math and science department chair, instructional coach, and manager of teacher leadership and development for Teach for America in Jefferson County, Florida. Struhs holds a master’s degree in education leadership and administration from Lehigh University’s Urban Principals Academy, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and education from Merrimack College.
