Elan Weingarten
Data Scientist
Elan Weingarten is a data scientist at Public Impact®, working with the data analytics team to collect and analyze data to help implement, monitor, and support school districts’ Opportunity Culture® models. Before joining the team, he spent four years teaching middle and high school science, first as a Teach For America corps member in New Orleans, and later in the St. Vrain Valley School District in Colorado. During his teaching career, Weingarten developed engaging and culturally responsive curricula, emphasizing multidimensional learning through project-based approaches. He has also worked as a data visualization developer, conducted research in physics and neuroscience labs, and served as a music teacher and program director. Weingarten holds a master’s degree in teaching from the Relay Graduate School of Education and a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of California, Berkeley.
