Mr. Hanrahan is an associate consultant with Public Impact, focused primarily on assisting districts and schools in implementing Opportunity Culture models, which extend the reach of excellent teachers and their teams. Prior to joining Public Impact, Mr. Hanrahan taught sixth- and seventh-grade science. He spent five years working with the Denver School of Science and Technology (DSST) Charter Network, with the goal of ending educational inequity by empowering students who have been underserved and providing the necessary supports for them to succeed. Mr. Hanrahan significantly closed his students’ achievement gaps through deliberate planning and data-driven instruction. He also served as grade head and implemented the first student-wide social-emotional learning program at DSST: Byers Middle School. He holds a B.A. from Bates College in American history and a M.A.T from the Relay Graduate School of Education.
