Raven Shelton
Opportunity Culture Operations Lead
Raven Shelton is the Opportunity Culture operations lead at Public Impact, providing administrative and technical support to the team responsible for Opportunity Culture implementation in schools and districts nationwide. Before coming to Public Impact, Shelton taught piano to students ranging in age from 5 to 70. While attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she worked as a research assistant in the sociology department, studying trends in the civil rights movement. Shelton served as a mentor and worked on a team to launch Project Jumpstart, a college readiness summer camp for middle and high schoolers, at Refugee Community Partnership in Carrboro, North Carolina. Shelton holds a B.A. in sociology and a minor in music from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
