Michelle Fockler
Senior Consultant
Michelle Fockler is a senior consultant with Public Impact, focused primarily on leading Opportunity Culture design and implementation support teams in districts and schools. Before joining Public Impact, Fockler was the Managing Director of Residency and Onboarding at Teach For America in Eastern North Carolina (ENC). In this role, she led the ENC Regional Institute, which provided leadership development and teacher training for new corps members and summer programming for students in partner school districts. Fockler began her Teach For America career as a high school English language arts and social studies teacher in Bertie County (North Carolina) Schools, where she also served as a coach for new teachers. In 2019, she earned a Teach For America Certificate of Excellence in Adult Learning. She holds a B.A. in history and a B.A. in Italian and special fields from UCLA.
Example Projects: Fockler’s recent work includes leading Opportunity Culture design and implementation to include full-year, paid teacher residencies on Multi-Classroom Leader teams in two Texas school districts and with the Louisiana State Department of Education. She also supports the UNC System Office’s Literacy Innovation Leaders Initiative with the goal of advancing synergy between education partners to positively impact student reading achievement.
