Kara Aycock
Talent and Systems Support Lead
Ms. Aycock is the talent and systems support lead at Public Impact. As a member of the talent team, she supports recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new team members. Additionally, she manages HRIS and performance management systems for current team members. Before joining Public Impact, Ms. Aycock worked as a data collector with the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on the self-regulation skills for success research study. She has also served as the associate director of Duke University Hospital’s Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Family Support Program, providing counseling services and managing multiple volunteer programs, and she provided intensive crisis counseling to families experiencing poverty, mental health challenges, and substance abuse while working with the Family Support Program in Massachusetts. Ms. Aycock holds a master’s degree in counseling from Boston University’s School of Education and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from the University of Virginia.
