Daniel Valder
Talent and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Specialist
Daniel Valder is the talent and diversity, equity, and inclusion specialist at Public Impact. Valder is primarily focused on helping recruit and hire a diverse staff, and facilitating Public Impact’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Before joining Public Impact, Valder was a Teach For America corps member and Leroy ‘Pop’ Miller Fellow in Charlotte, North Carolina. Valder taught biology for three years and served as the science department head at Julius L. Chambers High School, where he was an active member of the effort to rename the school, which had been named after Zebulon B. Vance. Valder holds a B.A. in public policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
