Cecilia Burtis is an associate consultant with Public Impact, focused primarily on assisting schools and districts with Opportunity Culture design and implementation to extend the reach of excellent teachers and their teams. Before joining Public Impact, Burtis was a Fulbright Scholar, teaching English in La Gomera, Spain. Before that, she was a second-grade teacher in Chicago Public Schools, first as a Teach For America corps member and later as a math lead on her school’s instructional leadership team. Burtis holds an M.A.T. in elementary education from the Relay Graduate School of Education, and a B.A. in sociology and Spanish from Miami University of Ohio.
