BETH CLIFFORD is a policy analyst at Public Impact, focusing on quantitative and qualitative research projects that span Public Impact’s focus areas. Before joining Public Impact, Ms. Clifford was an intern for a nonprofit K–12 intervention program, a summer teaching fellow for a college-prep nonprofit for first-generation college students in Texas, and an undergraduate research assistant focused on education policy research. As an undergraduate at UNC-Chapel Hill, she held senior leadership positions in student government, the Carolina Center for Public Service, and the Campus Y, the largest service organization on campus. She received the Kathy A. Taft Education Policy Award, which recognizes a rising senior policy student who has a demonstrated a passion for and commitment to improving K–12 education, and the Smith Galli Persistence Award, given to a graduating media and journalism student who provides unique or outstanding communications assistance to a nonprofit client and exemplifies steadfast persistence. Ms. Clifford holds a B.A. in public policy and public relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, from which she graduated with highest honors.
