CIERA DIXON is a consultant with Public Impact, focused primarily on assisting districts and schools in implementing Opportunity Culture models, which extend the reach of excellent teachers and their teams. In this work, she helps school leaders and staff redesign their schools to accommodate new roles for excellent teachers, who earn more money for developing other teachers and reaching more students. Before joining Public Impact, Ms. Dixon worked as an elementary and high school counselor at schools in North Carolina. She also provided private, family-focused, intensive in-home therapeutic counseling for clients and families through a private agency. Ms. Dixon holds a master’s degree in school counseling from North Carolina Central University, and a bachelor’s degree in corporate communications from Queens University of Charlotte, N.C.
