KAREN HERPEL is the manager of talent and office services at Public Impact. She oversees hiring, training, diversity planning, facilities, IT, and special projects. Before joining Public Impact, Ms. Herpel was the manager of education and training at The Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network in Ohio, where she focused on workforce development for the manufacturing industry. Prior to that, she was a researcher and writer at the Cleveland Initiative for Education, where she supported the design and implementation of leadership development for educators. Ms. Herpel holds a master’s degree from Cleveland State University in urban planning and economic development, and a B.A. in political science from Emory University.
